Treadmill Department Stores

Treadmills, nowadays, are the favored companion and helper by many in achieving their goals: losing weight, staying fit and maybe, just maybe, have abs like Jennifer Garner's. And in response to consumers' needs, treadmills are now being sold wherever you are, department stores, garage sales, online or in classified ads. But what's really the best place to purchase treadmills?

In Atlanta, when you mention treadmills, the first name that pops up in everybody's heads would indubitably be Woodway. Dubbed as the Mercedes Benz of treadmills, their products count the likes of President George Bush and talk show host Oprah Winfrey as one of their celebrity patrons. Known for their durability and comfort --- their ball bearing design is considered better than the average treadmill ---, Woodway treadmills, although a bit pricier compared to its competitors, can still be considered the better and more practical choice over time since it's built to last much, much longer. Though their products have initially been made for home use, Woodway makers are now eyeing to enter the health club market. So if you find yourself in Atlanta, drop by Woodway --- could very well be the treadmill department store of the state.

In Omaha, Bike Masters and Cycling Fitness may be more of a department store for bikes and not treadmills but since the company also carries the line of Spirit treadmills, let's just consider it as another treadmill department store. For athletes, however, they might deem it better to purchase fitness equipment from another "treadmill department store" entirely --- this time, at Going Vertical. Their Power treadmills are twice the size of ordinary treadmills and the company has their own type of exercise program, labeled as Going Vertical's speed training, and which is exclusively developed for Power treadmills.

And when you visit Seattle, there's only one treadmill department store you should look for and nothing else. I repeat, nothing else but just one treadmill department store by the name of Precor. Existing for a quarter of a century, Precor's treadmills have been renowned worldwide for its innovative design and durability. It has also been included in the Top 10 treadmill list of Runner's World.

Other states boast of their own treadmill department stores, too. In Anchorage Alaska, they have Sunshine Sports LLC, located at West Northern Lights Boulevard, which has been selling treadmills made by PADI since 1975. In Maine, Sports Authority in Maine Mall, a genuine department store this time, is the place to head to when looking for treadmills. In Columbus, Ohio, one can choose from several treadmill department stores. In Berry's Barbell & Fitness Company, they sell treadmills by Landice and Keys Fitness. In Exercise Equipment Experts, located at West Avenue, you can purchase treadmills of different makers, like Star Trac for example.

There are several more department stores all over the country and all you have to do is just check the directory for the one nearest to you. But remember --- choosing a treadmill is just like choosing a car. Take the time to consider all the alternatives and try choosing something that truly suits your needs, budget and goals. Information is easily accessible in cyberspace so it wouldn't hurt to research a little before signing the credit card slip.
